Under a government-sponsored emigration system, 3,913 people emigrated from Suo-Oshima to Hawai'i in the late 19th century.
The museum displays the historical records of the emigration including pictures, videos and historical pieces. There is also a researchable database of the emigrants for those who are looking for family history in Japan.

Closed: Mondays( If a national holiday falls on Monday, then closed on Tuesday)

Adults: 400yen
